In the third week of the Summer of Love 2020 Photography Internship Program, we welcomed Arna Barjaktarevic to talk about the process and inspiration behind her portraiture work. Among some classic examples and inspirations used in lecture were the greats: Carrie Mae Weems, Diane Arbus, Cindy Sherman, and Vivian Maier. Each of these photographers has inspired generations to attempt capturing the human spirit while emulating its raw authenticity.
This week, interns were tasked with honing in on their portraiture skills through the intentional focus of one genre of photography. Portraiture can be one of the more challenging aspects of photography, so we’re beyond proud of the results!
