Every International Women’s Day (IWD) for the past 5 years, Katie and Nancy, better known as kitty kat and crazyhitii on YouTube released an incredible mashup video of women portrayed on television and film. Their IWD collaboration started in 2017, because according to Katie, Nancy wanted to make a multi-female video with the song, “Me and My Girls”, which she really loves. This creative duo changed songs so many times that it delayed their original IWD collaboration until March 8, 2017.
We were so surprised it motivated and inspired so many girls! And that is how it accidentally became a tradition 🙂
Whether it’s by choosing an unpopular song, using scenes that haven’t been used in other multi-female videos, or not using a scene more than once, each video is unique. My favorite part is the little details like the different fonts which they say just “pops in their head” after hearing the song and choosing the scenes.

Nancy:
“I don’t think I have an absolute favorite movie or tv show. I’m not really watching anything lately, and if I do then it’s probably anime.”
ANY FUTURE PROJECTS IN THE WORKS?
Katie: I don’t think I have any. After about 8 years of creating videos, I’ve kinda lost my inspiration for making edits. But if I watch something and inspiration hits me then maybe I’ll finish something. Now I’m more focused on the videos that I film myself.
Nancy: Inspiration is a weird thing, it can come out of nowhere. If I watch something that I’ll really enjoy, you’ll definitely see it on my channel.
ADVICE FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CREATE THEIR OWN VIDEOS?
Katie: Just have fun, it’s the most important thing. And never try to compare yourself to others.
Nancy: You just need a lot of practice. Keep doing what you doing, and you’ll be satisfied eventually. Just enjoy the process, and don’t be afraid of trying new things.
