Zadie Jean announces her newest release, “Space Lullaby” on July 31st, 2020. As an upcoming, young artist she already has such a gift for reeling the listeners in with her ethereal melodies. Zadie has been writing for nearly eight years now and has never disappointed with each new drop. At only 17 she is singing about topics such as addiction, depression, and more. In her most recent single “Space Lullaby” it feels like a dream with a chorus of guitar and her voice cutting through in a distant type of feel. She once again has given us such a haunting, yet beautiful piece to add to our playlist.
Sixteen-year-old, Santa Barbara-based singer/songwriter Sofia Schuster is releasing a new single on July 31st 2020. Sixteen-year-old artist mika16 announces her debut single “Back in the Sky.” Released with Syryn Records on July 31, the track will be available on SoundCloud and Bandcamp, and later Spotify. Fifteen-year-old singer-songwriter Ryann Eve releases her quarantine-inspired debut single, “Same Shirt Different Day,” available on SoundCloud and Bandcamp on July 31st, and later in August on Spotify, as well. “Same Shirt Different Day” refers to wearing the same outfits throughout each and every day in quarantine. Metaphorically speaking, its message is about how people don’t change. It is quite difficult to really break your mold and evolve, and Ryann states she is one of those people: “Despite how hard I try, I fall back into the same old patterns.”
Summer Daze is about loving someone but knowing that you don’t need them to feel whole. “Summer Daze, I’ll find my way without you” Reiyn Hart sings, and, at just 14, beautifully captures the feelings of having to let go of someone for the better. Her music could be compared to mxmtoon while still keeping her unique voice and ethereal harmonies.
“Friends” is the debut single from Jazara, an 18-year-old Santa Barbara native singer who now lives in Norway. This summer, she joined the “Summer of Love” internship program created by Girls Rock Santa Barbara to release a song under their record label, Syryn Records, and this is the single she wrote.
Up-and-Coming Indie Artist Della announces the release of her newest single “Take Your Out,” published by Syryn Records on July 31. Della has delved deep into her emotions with her newest release… She says, “It’s about being insecure in a relationship, questioning what you’re capable of giving and whether you have anything left to give after being torn down or burned in past relationships.” Love, heartbreak, and longing all resonate throughout the sweet tone of the song with Della trying to personally navigate salvaging a relationship with her lover.
A photo essay built on beauty and gratitude. Nature means a lot to me because it’s beautiful and it’s all around us. The beach means a lot to me because it’s the place I feel most alive…
